In this webinar, the SFD Promotion Initiative presented you the online tools, including the recently launched SFD Graphic Generator and the modalities of support available. In the first part of this webinar, Barbara Evans (University of Leeds) demonstrated the Graphic Generator and its functionalities. Afterwards, Dr. Suresh Rohilla shared with the participants some examples of how SFDs have been used in India. Furthermore, Dr. Susanne Bieker (GIZ) presented how the SFD Promotion Initiative can be of assistance during the preparation of SFDs and the channels available to reach out to us.
Online and Stockholm, Sweden
On Friday 26, at 14:00 CEST, a live stream of the SFD Exchange meeting in Stockholm will be available. The meeting is aimed at sharing cases where the underlying thinking of the SFD approach has stimulated and structured discussions about urban sanitation, the design of project proposals and research questions; and has changed the discourse around sanitation.
On Wednesday 26, afternoon, attendees of the Stockholm World Water Week will have an additional opportunity to learn more about the SFD approach. During the side event Sustainable City Sanitation: from planning to implementation, one table will the dedicated to debate the SFD approach and its potential as an advocacy and decision-support tool for integrated urban excreta management in cities.
Do you want to learn more about SFD? Then join our side event at the Stockholm World Water Week! The SFD Promotion Initiative is hosting an event on Wednesday, August 26. Members of all partner institutions will be there to explain the SFD approach. You will have the opportunity to understand how SFDs are made and what they are used for, pose questions and join a round table discussion. Don’t miss it!
